FUDE PEN
ABOUT FUDE PEN
Kuretake launched its first brush pen in 1973, continuing to expand the line with each product having unique features for a variety of use.
The brush pen is most commonly used for calligraphy, lettering, sketching, outlining, inking illustrations and ink washing.
HISTORY
On the other hand, however, there were many occasions in their daily lives where Japanese brush calligraphy was preferred, such as New Year's cards.
How convenient it would be to provide a writing instrument that makes brush lettering easier for those who are not good at writing with a brush and sumi ink.
This was the concept behind the development of the brush pen.
What the technical team was aiming for was a pen that could freely write thick or thin lines depending on the writing pressure. However, developing such pen tip was not easy.
Therefore, in order to solve the structural problems of the pen and realize the brush pen we aimed for, we released the first Kuretake “FUDE” Brush Pen, which has separated ink tank and pen body like a fountain pen, instead of filling the pen body with ink.
